We would simply be consistently ignored by the wait staff. First we stood forever at the entrance, then finally someone came and let in exactly one man. We should keep waiting. We did. Half of the tables outside were occupied. We kept waiting. Then another waitress came and said we should keep waiting. OK. After a quarter of an hour we finally sat and ... Exactly. Nobody came. Honestly. That was too stupid for me. We stopped in the village downstairs, where it was very nice.

This castle tour is always nice. Hopefully the weather will be fine, but what's the name! "There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing" So see you then, I'm really looking forward to it. Your Melita from Haidenaab!

Good food at reasonable prices, friendly service, but above all you sit very comfortably in the castle courtyard of the Giechburg. A worthwhile destination! The hygiene regulations due to Corona are followed very correctly.

Best dishes at affordable prices, served quickly and hot, plus a wonderful view of the Upper Franconia region to Bamberg. The castle complex is currently under construction. restored. Nice bench ambience outside. Sufficient parking spaces available. If you like to take a steep climb, take the parking lot below the castle, climb to the castle about 12 minutes on a hard shoulder of the road. Few parking spaces directly at the restaurant and behind the castle.

Nice beer garden in a historical setting. Food was not outstanding, but quite adequate for a good middle-class restaurant. We liked it anyway.

Didn't have anything but the prices are pretty fair from looking at the menu. Be prepared to walk if there is no parking up by the castle.

Nice restaurant with a great beer garden in the courtyard of the castle. Great view. I've eaten there twice so far and I've been very satisfied so far. Fresh porcini mushrooms in the roast venison sauce and homemade potato salad say it all. The schnitzel is also fried in the pan. Buttenheiner cellar beer on tap :-)

Wonderful view, beautiful castle with good restaurants to stop off at. If you're in the area, this place shouldn't be missed. There are parking spaces directly at the castle.
